Summer is actually here! I was really worried that we weren't going to have a summer with all the snow, rain, and cold temps. But I have gone hiking quite a bit lately, which means it must be summer :) I went hiking a few weeks ago up to Bell Canyon (which is one of my favorite hikes) and there was so much water that the trail was covered!!!! There was a river running through the trail for a good mile. The hard part of that was you were going up the "stair master from you know where" while trying not to slip, and trying to stay a little dry. The waterfall was beautiful, and the journey definitely worth it!

I also found 2 new trails that I have never done before and they are beautiful! They are both up Big Cottonwood Canyon and actually start in the same parking lot. The first is Broads Fork, and the second is Lake Blanche. We didn't get to the "top" of either because of time restraints, but I will go back and do them again for sure! I especially loved the Lake Blanche trail! It stays pretty close to a river which is just beautiful to me (I love water!!!! It calms me and reminds me there is just more to life than just me).

I know this is getting long, and many of you don't really care to hike, but the hikes above are just amazing! I love to be outside in the mountains, realizing that God made all of it because he loves me! He did it all for me, because He knew that I would enjoy it, that I would think it was beautiful, that I would need it to relax and be
rejuvenated! I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father who knows me so well!
